Library Introduction

    
2nd floor

1. Counter
This is the counter for library services. The counter is available to answer questions about the library collection and how to use materials.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

2. Learning Commons
This is a space for group and individual independent study. Students can study while having discussions.
Desks are movable, and equipment such as whiteboards and projectors are available.

3. Group study room
Suitable for small group discussion, study, or presentation.
Large monitors, wireless presentations, and DVD players are available.
Use is by reservation only.

4. Browsing Corner
Newspapers and general magazines are available. You can browse them while relaxing on the sofa.

5. New Arrival Book Corner
Books displayed at the "New Arrival Book Fair" are available in the Learning Commons for one week.

6. New Arrival Magazines
Newly arrived magazines (basically magazines of the current year) are available. Japanese magazines are sorted alphabetically by title in Japanese syllabary, and foreign magazines are sorted alphabetically by title.
You cannot check out magazines.

7. Bound Journals (Back issues of Japanese and Foreign magazines)
Back issues from 7 to 10 years ago are available. Japanese journals are sorted alphabetically by title in Japanese syllabary, and foreign journals are sorted alphabetically by title.
Please ask at the counter for earlier materials.

8. Bulletins and reports
Bulletins, annual reports, and research reports up to 7 years ago are arranged in alphabetical order by publisher in Japanese syllabary.
Please ask at the counter for earlier materials.
Some annual reports are placed in the New Arrival section.

9. Search tables (2nd floor: 5, 3rd floor: 2)
This is a place to search the library's collection and databases.
These computers are for searching only and do not contain software such as Excel and Word.

    

3rd Floor

10. Books
Books in the fields of medicine, nursing, social welfare, early childhood education, school nurse education, elementary school education, and related fields and general books, both Japanese and foreign, are shelved together.
Classification is based on the Nippon Decimal Classification System.

11. Reference books
Dictionaries and encyclopedias are divided into general books and medical, nursing, social welfare, and early childhood education books.
White papers and statistics are also available.
Reference materials are not available for loan.

12. Large books
The collection includes a variety of materials, primarily art books, dictionaries, and maps, with both loanable and reference-only items.

13. Audio Visual Corner
DVDs and videos, mainly in specialized fields, are available.
Viewing is available only in the library.
Please pick up headphones and remote control at the counter to watch.
For DVDs, please bring the case with you to the counter.

14. Bunko
Only "Literature" is available in Bunko.

15. Textbooks
Textbooks for elementary and junior high schools are available.

Opening hours

●Regular
  Mon – Fri  8:30~20:00
  Sat     9:00~17:00

●During vacation
  Mon – Fri  8:30~17:00
  Sat     9:00~17:00

◇During the period of regular examinations and national examinations, the library is open until 9:00 p.m.


Closed days
 Sundays, National holidays, and University holidays.
